Country economic data is primarily retrieved through the World Bank Indicators API. Each indicator retains its World Bank code so readers can verify the original source.

  • SP.POP.TOTL: total population
  • NE.EXP.GNFS.ZS: exports as a share of GDP
  • NE.IMP.GNFS.ZS: imports as a share of GDP

Updates and caching

The site periodically refreshes public endpoints and uses a local cache for reliability. Public statistics often update annually or on a publication schedule, so the latest data year may be earlier than the current date.

Calculations

Trend statements are computed only from displayed source values. Changes in rate indicators are expressed in percentage points; other indicators may use percentage change. Finance calculators run locally in the browser using the formulas documented on each page.

Limitations

Statistical years, definitions, revision schedules and availability vary by country. Cross-country comparisons should be read together with the indicator definition, year and methodology.
